Our Vision 2026: The Day When Your Elevator Becomes Your Intelligent Partner
Dear Business Partners,
For over 20 years at SterDźwig, our mission has been not just solving problems, but defining the future. Today we face the greatest challenge in our industry: the growing shortage of qualified specialists.
We decided to respond to this challenge in the only way we know – by creating technology that doesn't just support, but fundamentally changes the rules of the game. This is not a distant dream. This is a precise, three-stage engineering plan, whose foundations we have been working on in our R&D laboratory for over a year.
The Revolution Roadmap: Our Plan for 2025-2026
Stage I (End of 2025): The Nervous System – Real-Time IoT Diagnostics
The culmination of the first phase of our research and development work will be the introduction of our proprietary IoT (Internet-Of-Things) modem. This is the foundation of the entire vision – the "nervous system" that will connect every elevator to our platform. It will enable your technicians to perform remote, instant installation diagnostics with precision and speed they have never experienced before.
Stage II (Mid-2026): The Expert Brain – Artificial Intelligence as Your Advisor
In the second phase, the "nervous system" will be connected to the "brain" – the AI Maintenance Assistant. Powered by our unique knowledge base, the system will actively analyze data from the control system and respond to technician questions in natural language. This will give your teams confidence and diagnostic speed at an unprecedented level.
But this is just the beginning. The real revolution starts in the third stage.
Stage III (End of 2026): Intelligent Partner – The Day When Elevator Equipment Becomes Intelligent
In the final phase, we will accomplish something that will change the rules of maintenance. We will cross the boundary between pure information from the control system and physical interaction.
Until now, we have become accustomed to intelligent software. We are going one step further – we are making the elevator equipment itself intelligent.
Our AI Maintenance Assistant will gain the ability to autonomously execute complex commands. It will become the maintenance technician's physical partner on site. Sample test sequences in supervised mode, initiated by the technician and logged in the system:
"Go to all floors, we'll be leveling the elevator. When I ask, change the braking delay."
...and the elevator will independently, safely, and precisely execute the entire sequence. It will become an intelligent agent capable of performing complex tasks that today require hours of work and professional experience.
At this point, I want to emphasize the fundamental principle of our architecture. The AI Assistant is an intelligent advisor, but the elevator controller remains the unquestioned and fully superior guardian of safety. All critical functions, compliance with safety standards and UDT recommendations, are implemented at the lowest, fully deterministic level of the controller software. No recommendation or command from the AI can ever bypass, override, or in any way modify these functions. In our architecture, there is simply no physical possibility for this. This provides absolute certainty that the innovation we are introducing always operates within the hard, inviolable rules of safety.
Proof: Our Advantage Lies Not in Hardware, but in People and Knowledge
At this point, you might ask yourself: "How does an engineering company from the elevator industry have such deep competencies in artificial intelligence?"
The answer is simple: because for years we have consciously built the company not like a factory, but like an interdisciplinary research and development center.
Our journey into the world of AI is not new. Its first achievement is the Production AI Assistant – a system that will soon optimize our internal processes. This serves as our proving ground and demonstration of our practical capabilities.
But the real answer runs deeper. Our simulators, digital twins, and AI algorithms are built on more than just engineering work. Our R&D team represents a unique combination within the industry: practicing Engineers, Physicists, and Mathematicians.
We don't just build controllers, elevator electronics, and control systems. We understand the fundamental laws that govern their operation.
It is precisely this unique combination of knowledge, backed by research and development facilities, that gives us absolute certainty today that our vision of an autonomous elevator is not only ambitious, but above all – thoroughly thought out and 100% achievable.
This vision is not reserved for future installations. We design our technology with evolution in mind, not revolution that forces replacement of everything.
Therefore, with full responsibility, I can declare today that every SterDźwig control system installed today, based on our latest hardware platform, is designed with the future in mind. When the AI Assistant is deployed, upgrading to full intelligent partner functionality will require only a modem replacement and software update.
What does this mean in practice?
By choosing SterDźwig today, you're not just buying the best solution available on the market. You are investing in a platform that is 100% ready for the coming AI revolution.
This is the fundamental difference that distinguishes a true technology partner from a supplier of closed, one-time solutions. This is our promise and guarantee that your investment in SterDźwig technology is safe and future-proof.
I invite you to join us in shaping the future of our industry.
With respect,
Maciej Saczuk

Vision in Progress: Project Status September 2025
Vision without proof is just a dream. We want to show you that our journey toward the autonomous future of elevators is not just a plan – it's a real, advanced engineering project that our R&D team has been working on for over a year. Here are the key milestones we have achieved so far:
Real-Time IoT Communication Achieved
The foundation of the entire system – the ability for instant, bidirectional communication between the controller and mobile device – is already a reality. Our test application, communicating with the laboratory LTE module, allows for data viewing and analysis with latency below 100 milliseconds. The "nervous system" of our vision is already working.
Practical AI Implementation Experience Gained
We are in an advanced phase of integrating the Production AI Assistant with our system. We are currently training LLM models to understand the specifics of our production process and testing connections to our order database. This hands-on experience provides invaluable expertise that we apply directly to the AI Maintenance Assistant project.
Controller Autonomy Tests Launched
The most revolutionary element of our vision – the elevator's ability to take physical action – is already in the testing phase in our laboratory. We are experimenting with various technologies, equipping a test electronic control module with capabilities for autonomous analysis, independent decision-making, and action initiation. On a simplified, test controller, we have proven that the idea of autonomous elevator equipment is fully achievable.
Defined and Tested Security Architecture
We have defined the key security architecture of the entire system and developed a new controller communication protocol, designed around one fundamental principle: The AI Assistant serves as an intelligent advisor, but the elevator controller remains the ultimate guardian of safety.
What does this mean in practice? All safety functions are implemented at the lowest, deterministic software level. No artificial intelligence command can bypass or modify these functions. This is an inherent feature of our architecture and main controller protocol.
What others consider a distant future is already the present in our laboratory. Every day we are closer to our goal, and our roadmap is not only a promise, but also a report on real progress.
